During the summer months, we provide a Gradonna rucksack on loan in your room for free use for the duration of your stay. Rucksacks can be purchased as souvenirs from the delicatessen shop.

Seminars & Incentives at the Gradonna
Each room and chalet has its own safe for the storage of valuables. You will also welcome to deposit these at reception.
Shoe cleaning machines are located in the lower ground floor at the night entrance and next to the lift on the 3rd and 4th floors.
The ski bus stops right in front of the hotel entrance at the published times (timetable available from reception).
A free ski depot is available at ground level (at Alpinsport Gratz).
Winter opening times 08.30 – 18.00
Order your ski pass one day in advance up to 21:00 at reception and pick it up the next day, conveniently avoiding any waiting times. The price of your lift pass will be added to your room bill (the key card deposit will be refunded on return of the pass).
Single day passes are valid in the Großglockner resort Kals-Matrei, multi-day ski passes are valid in the following ski areas: Großglockner Resort Kals-Matrei, Skizentrum St. Jakob im Defreggental und Skizentrum Hochpustertal/Sillianer Bergbahnen.
If you return your ski pass before 13:00, you will receive money back.

Throughout the Gradonna ****s Mountain Resort you can enjoy nature’s own crystal clear, fresh mountain spring water straight from the tap, from our own Gradonna spring, rising in the Blauspitz rocks. You can safely drink water from the tap; even the shower water is drinking water.
Tip: In your room, fill the water carafe with its stone pine stopper and enjoy wonderful mountain spring water.
For security reasons some areas of the hotel are under video surveillance. These include the underground garage, reception, and swimming pool areas.
For environmental reasons, we only change the towels and bed linen for hotel guests when required by the guests themselves, or if they are obviously dirty. If you would like to have fresh bedlinen, please leave the corresponding card on your bed. Please leave any towels that you want to be changed on the floor.
Laundry change in the chalet: Final cleaning of your chalet is included in the price. No cleaning is scheduled during your stay in the chalet. You can request an additional cleaning (charge applies) from reception (tel. 700). Price information is available from reception or in your chalet folder.
A wake-up call can be programmed using your telephone. Alternatively, ask the team at reception (tel. 700).
Our wine cellar contains 300 wines, mostly from Austria, including rarities and specialities. We also offer wine and schnapps tasting sessions. Information is available directly from our service staff.

We have a selection of Austrian and international newspapers and magazines on sale in the hotel shop.
Many of our rooms and chalets have pillows and bedclothes that are suitable for allergy sufferers.

The resort itself is car-free. A parking space in our underground barrage is allocated per hotel room and chalets (for more details see parking/garage). When arriving and leaving, the hotel can take care of your luggage transport to the chalet (please arrange a time with reception for departure day).
At reception we can give you information about our baby phone system that enables you to keep an eye on your baby using your room telephone.

The nearest station is in in Lienz (33 km). Shuttle Service: We can happily organise free transfer to the station if ordered in advance (minimum 2 days. Waiting times may be necessary) Similarly, you can take the train to Mittersill (64 km).

In your room or chalet you will find a hotel bathrobe and a bath bag. These are provided for you for the duration of your stay (bathrobes and bath bags are available for purchase from the hotel shop). Similarly, we provide loden cloth slippers in your room. You may take these home with you, and additional ones can be purchased in the hotel shop. If you would like a change of bathrobe, please inform the spa reception.
If you visit our hotel bar in your bathrobe, please keep to the bathrobe zone.

Thanks to thorough, professional training and years of experience in Alpine terrain, the Kals mountain guides guarantee unforgettable mountain experiences.
A bouldering room and climbing wall (next to Alpinsport Gratz) are available free of charge to our guests. Access to the bouldering room is gained via reception (children under 14 years of age must be accompanied by an adult).
Our 3rd floor is home to a small but fine library where you will find reading material to browse when on holiday. Magazines and newspapers are available in the delicatessen shop.

Wood-burning stove: On your arrival you will find a pack of wood with firelighters for a cosy, open fire in your stove. Additional packs are available from the delicatessen shop.

Our professionally trained Mountain Spa team will happily advise you on beauty treatments and massages. Please book your desired appointments for facial and body care in good time in advance (spa reception tel.707)
The wellness area is a rest and quiet area. We ask that you respect this and avoid loud conversations, mobile phone or computer noises. Children under 16 years of age are not permitted.
Gradonna ****S Mountain Spa
The main entrance at reception is closed between 23:00 and 07:00. Please use the night entrance in the underground car park (accessed with room card).
We charge a cleaning fee for dogs per day (see hotel price list and chalet price list). For reasons of hygiene, pets are not allowed in the wellness & spa area or the restaurants.
When on walks, please remember to take dog bags with you and to dispose of them in the proper way. In the resort there are 2 dog stations with dog bags. If you require other equipment such as food bowl, dog towels etc, we can happily help.
Holidays in the mountains with your dog
On arrival, payment of the chalet deposit (€250) is necessary. Please give this to reception in cash. You receive this money back if the chalet and complete inventory has been returned properly. Please arrange a handover appointment with reception prior to departure.
We have all the necessary facilities for younger guests such as cot, changing mat, baby phone, high chair, children’s playroom, children’s menu etc.
Our sunny children’s club is flooded with natural light and is a place where kids feel very happy. The forest playground in our new woodland kindergarten from July 2019 gives children the opportunity to experience nature. Our kindergarten staff has fantastic programmes to ensure that no boredom creeps in (minimum age: 3 years).
In winter, there is a practice lift (magic carpet) right next to the hotel for young skiers to practice their first turns.

Your appearance plays an essential role to the stylish ambience of our hotel. We appreciate it if guests wear appropriate, decent clothing in order to retain the flair of the environment, and request that in the restaurant and eating areas you do not wear tracksuits, ski clothing, bath slippers, bathrobe etc. At the bar, please respect the bathrobe zone.
We are happy to offer a laundry service (charge applies). If you require this, please tell your room cleaning staff or inform reception.
There is an ironing board and iron available to chalet guests in their chalets.
Please book your desired appointment for beauty treatments and massages in good time in advance at the Mountain Spa reception, preferably prior to arrival. Our excellently trained Mountain Spa team are on hand to give you advice and assistance.

Works of art by various local artists are frequently on display in the public areas of the resort.
Every floor is accessible by lift. After midnight, for safety reasons the lifts only work with a valid room card (hold your card in front of the receiver and choose the floor you require). The tower lift also only operates during the day with an authorised room card for the tower rooms.
The soap and shampoo dispensers in your bathroom contain our high-quality natural cosmetics line „MAGDALENA’S by Gradonna“.
We heat totally CO2 neutrally with our own 1500 kW bio heat plant (wood pellets).

Gourmet restaurant Bar
Please park your vehicle in the underground garage. There is a free parking space allocated for each room or chalet (free choice of space). The barrier is opened using your room card, and closes automatically when you leave.
The chalet grounds are car-free. On arrival and departure, our hotel takes care of your luggage transport to and from the hotel (please arrange a time with reception for your day of departure.
Thank you for only smoking cigarettes, cigars, or pipes in the designated areas. The Gradonna Gradonna ****s Mountain Resort is for the most part a no-smoking hotel. Ashtrays are provided on the room balconies and in designated areas.
The chalets are no smoking areas. You are welcome to smoke on the terrace of your chalet (please use the ashtray provided and do not leave cigarette ends on the ground).
Your chalet card or room card not only opens your room door, but also the night entrance. It serves as a credit card for consumable purchases for the duration of your stay. Please take good care of the card and if you lose it, let us know at reception straightaway. We accept no liability for any damages caused by the loss of your chalet or room card.
