Our head chef Michael Karl and his team in the kitchen at the Gradonna uses locally sourced, high-quality ingredients in preparing delicious gourmet creations. Just like in 2022, we were awarded 12 points and a toque by Gault Millau in 2023. This renewed award underlines that gourmets and connoisseurs have come to the right place. A pleasure for all the senses in our restaurants with panoramic views of the mountains of the Großglockner area and the mountain village of Kals.

À la carte pleasure and gourmet board

Guests staying at the 4 star superior Mountain Resort, whether in the 4 star superior Hotel or in the chalets experience the pleasure of gourmet cuisine. This is most of the regular guests at the Gradonna do. But à la carte guests are also very welcome in the gourmet restaurant of the Gradonna ****s Mountain Resort, and are similarly treated to all sorts of delicious culinary creations.

Gourmet pleasure with panoramic views

The sun terrace and the panorama restaurants have clear views of several 3000 m peaks in the Hohe Tauern National Park nearby, views that never cease to amaze.

On request, we offer gluten-free, lactose-free as well as vegan and vegetarian cuisine.

Noble wines from the cellar

The wine cellar of the Gradonna contains more than the 300 wines, including particular specialities and rarities. The majority of the wines come from Austria, but there are also fine wines from all over the world in the selection.

Our trained sommeliers in the wine cellar or at the bar will happily give you advice on your choice of wine.

As part of the weekly programme or on request, we occasionally offer wine and schnapps tasting sessions in the Gradonna wine cellar.

Sustainability in the kitchens

The combination of sustainability and luxury is something that we have perfected at the Gradonna, such as for example our use of energy efficient induction hobs, our use of regional suppliers and local farmers, some organic.

In our own butcher’s, we process venison, reveal, and beef, and herbs come from our own garden and the National Park, and we have a host of other measures in place contributing to sustainability. Gourmet pleasure with a good conscience. Programmes
