Spa etiquette – Useful information

Let the Gradonna****s  Mountain Spa be your place of retreat, your oasis of energy, rest and recuperation. To aid you in your well-being, we have a few guidelines which we ask you to observe:

  • Contribute to the relaxed atmosphere and please avoid loud conversations, telephone calls or other unnecessary noise
  • At the family pool and children’s pool, there is a separate, clothed sauna in which swimming kit should be worn.
  • No entry to children and 16 years of age to the sauna area or the fitness room.
  • Guests using fitness equipment must wear sports clothing and sports shoes. After use, please clean the equipment using the disinfectant towels available
  • Smoking and the consumption of alcohol is forbidden throughout the spa area and the indoor swimming pools, as is bringing your own food and drink. For a light snack to keep you going, there are drinks with fresh herbs, fruit, and dried fruit available daily from 14:00 from the Mountain Spa reception
    In the sauna and pool area, there is a drinks fountain with water from the Gradonna Spring.
  • Please leave jewellery and other valuables in your room safe.
  • For reasons of hygiene, the spa area must not be entered wearing street shoes or street clothing, and pushchairs are not permitted.
  • Please tell us any medical information we need to know as certain treatments are not recommended for those with certain complaints.
  • We try to begin all treatments on time. If you happen to miss the start of your booked appointment and the therapist or cabin is booked straight afterwards, your treatment will have to be shortened.
  • Please take into account time for changing and getting from reception to the treatment rooms.
  • Notice of cancellation must be given at least 12 hours before the appointment. If not, the cost of the session will be charged.
  • Come freshly showered to all therapy appointments. There are showers in the pool and sauna area.
  • All massages and bath therapies are usually unclothed. In the case of massages, your body will be covered and only the area that is being massaged at a specific time will be uncovered. Intimate areas stay covered of course. Disposable underwear is available.
  • Saunas have many positive benefits. For hygiene reasons, please place a towel under you in the Finnish sauna, but not in the steam room, where there are special hygiene mats. Please leave your bathing slippers outside the sauna cabin.
  • Please resist from having conversations in the sauna rooms.
  • Wellness towels are provided for use in the spa area. You will find these within the wellness area.
  • To be environmentally friendly, please only use these with consideration and please place used towels in the laundry basket or laundry chute.
  • For individual advice and general information about treatments, our well-being experts are on hand.
  • Treatment times include the entire duration of the treatment as well as rest times connected with the treatment.
